"Pathway to Health"
OUR PURPOSE: To help as many people as possible,
get and stay healthy, naturally!

Welcome to your first visit! We have found patients who know what to expect and understand the how and why of what we recommend tend to get the best results. Your results are our passion. This is why we created the “Pathway to Health”. The pathway is an educational process for the first four visits at our office. We will teach you through brochures, charts, diagrams, models, and computers, so you can achieve the highest results possible, and make informed decisions regarding your care. Our job is to educate, inform, and empower YOU!

FIRST VISIT:

New patients are requested to fill out a health history questionnaire, to help us understand your health concerns. A one-on-one consultation with one of our doctors will be done to discuss your health problems and to determine what may be the cause. A comprehensive examination and evaluation will be conducted to determine the precise cause of your health problem. The doctor will advise you if additional laboratory tests, or x-rays are needed.

SECOND VISIT:

You will be given a thorough explanation of our treatment and what results can be obtained. If you are accepted as a patient, care will begin. Because we are working on muscles, treatment on the second, third, and fourth visit is recommended to determine your rate of response.  Once your rate of response is determined, we can combine that information with your testing and history to determine what you need to restore your function.

THIRD VISIT:

The different types of care will be explained, so you can choose the type of care you desire. We will show you how we track your functional progress, so you always know what you need and where you are at functionally.

FOURTH VISIT:

We will estimate how many visits you will need, and how long it will take to pass as many of the functional tests as possible. Cost estimates will be discussed, and options for payment will be offered so you can choose what works best for you. Office policies and patient agreements will be discussed.

Congratulations on your first step in improving your health and function!

Our purpose is to help as many people as possible, get and stay healthy, naturally!

in improving your health and function!

Laying the foundation

Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care . . .

expect_phase1.jpgPhase 1: Pain Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Pain relief, reducing inflammation, and restoring your fuction are critical. Depending on the severity of your problem, different treatments may be recommended. Treatment frequancy can be 3 times per week to daily, depending on the condition.

expect_phase2.jpgPhase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective care phase, muscles and other tissues are required to heal and restore normal function. Once muscles are functioning normally, they will become stronger, thereby helping prevent injury. It is typical to need care 3 times per week until the muscle changes have occured (similar to physical therapy or working out in the gym).

expect_phase3.jpgPhase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed, it is important to come in for periodic adjustments to avoid problems in the future. Usually, this only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle, goals, and personal decisions.
